Middle of Nowhere

My little brother is stranded on an island. May he post and comment until his fingers turn blue.

Yo! Happy Birthday!
Congrats on officially aging!
Hope you enjoy the day.

Question:
We (finally) have a box to send you with stuff and would like to know the following:

Should we wait and send it a week and a half - so that you're back in Garcia Diego when it arrives?

OR

Should we mail it to you in San Diego so you can transport it yourself?

Let us know. I said you'd probably prefer to have it delivered to GD even if it takes longer so you don't have to bother carrying luggage. Mom and Dad thought we should ask you.

Anyhoo - happy happy. Hope all is well.

Love,
Sis

Ah ha!
or Ahh choo?

Well that sucks. Sorry. I was half kidding when I asked about SARs. The whole thing feels like the beginning of The Plague. The rate at which it is spreading feels like it increases everyday but that 'they' are trying to keep the public from panicking. Do you think I'll be going anywhere near Chinatown? Uh, that would be a big fat no. And tomorrow when I ride the subway will I touch anything? No sir-ee bob. (At least it will be cold enough to justify wearing gloves. That's right - because it's forecasted to snow 4 - 6 inches. In April.) But no, we're not panicking. Just don't get SARs.

Re: SD. Mom said to notify us asap when you roughly know dates. Something to do with mailing you something stateside while you're there. Or picking it up.

It's kind of late here and I want to wrap a few things up before going to bed. I have to find a copy of my college diploma for an interview. To temp. That's right. I need proof of my college education to temp. (eyeroll) Needless to say the job market is not the brightest at the moment, nor am I pleased about my present situation. I'll save the story about assembling furniture with Dad today for next time. Our dining room is a dire state - stuff everywhere. But there's light at the end of the tunnel. Hopefully we'll find the floor before the snow melts.

Oy. Later.
