Hey!
Did Dad send you email? I asked him to do so earlier when I was downstairs and he was online. For whatever reason, Dad's been having difficulty with Blogger and says it's refusing to cooperate with him. (?) Anyhoo, Mom's ok. A bit sore, but not dire. We're all pissed at the store for being rude. Aside from the immediate bruising, everything seems in check. However Mom is complaining of soreness. What you could do is 1) remember that Mother's Day is around the corner. (Sending a card early wouldn't be a bad thing) and 2) You could conceivably call her over the next week. Mom and Dad are both off from school. (In case you're wondering what I'm doing: I start 'work' on Monday and will be a bit busy.) Uh, so, my writing skills escape me at the moment. Mom dragged me over half of Long Island today running errands. Driving makes me tired. And tonight we finally finished assembling a wine rack table thing. Talk about a pain in the @ss. Damn camlock things wouldn't work. Dad stepped in with some glue mid-process and whoeee five days later - we're finished. *eyeroll* Tomorrow I'm going to strategize so that I can have part of my day at home. I need ot organize my closet... I'm not exactly sure what business casual entails anymore. No, wait. They gave me a BROCHURE explaining how collared shirts are a must. So I need to do some laundry (running uber low on panties) and iron the clothes that are buried in a box somewhere. Joy. Hey - what do you guys wear to work? Tonight I watched Kissing Jessica Stein with Mom. Talk about weird. I think Mom thought I was prepping her for something major. (Uh, No.) Now she's downstairs watching Monster's Ball. Both movies we picked up at the Library. Did you have a chance to visit the renovated library when you were here? It kicks butt. It's big and they've (most importantly) fenced off the toddlers and teenagers. So it's quiet and spacious. Shockingly enough, 1/2 of the bitter mean librarians STILL work there. Not that I ever learned their names - but I see their sour puss faces every once in a while. (The library is my new best friend.) Alright. Going downstairs to cut out the doggie coat pattern I bought today. Yes, I am making Ophelia a present. Shut up. Wednesday, April 16, 2003
Mom's bruised, slightly annoyed and still equipped with a barbed tongue
The woman never quits;) We went to a store and she tripped over some pots that were sticking out. Luckily (?) she only fell on her knees and one elbow (which is green now). She saw the doctor the day after but he basically poked her and took notes. Not exactly what I would have recommended. However, it's easy to forget how tough of an old bird Mom is. Thank goodness for calcium in her bones otherwise she could have hurt herself more seriously.
It's late and I'm tired. I'll tell Mom about your concern and write more tomorrow. later gator. Monday, April 14, 2003
